A lovely fall day at The Wilderness

Unfortunately I’m at the office and not at The Wilderness on this Friday afternoon. But my friend Jerry is.

He sent this along to both taunt and to provide me with some blog content. I’m not too big of a person to admit to being jealous. The Wilderness is one of my favorite public courses in the state. I find it to be interesting, challenging and fun — a tough combination to achieve.

  1. Wilderness is great! I played it in August and really enjoyed it. Several very memorable holes including the awesome green at #4 when the pin is back right, downhill approach on #9, Driveable #10, stunning par 5 12th, and a great finishing hole. Faldo did great!

Wrong “Wilderness” course. This one is Jeffrey Brauer’s at Fortune Bay, which is practically in Canada. I believe the photo is No. 18, although I don’t really see the green from this angle because my controlled fade off the tee usually leaves me coming in from near the cart path on the opposite side.
