OK, I have not come up with any original content on this Friday. I’m just trying to get through the final day of the week so I can head out into a 36-hole weekend.

So in place of that, I suggest youtwo things:

First is Jim Colton\’s blog post about playing the National Golf Links of America.

It’s really good. The photos are really cool. He is one lucky dude.

Second is a story from my friend Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post about Rory McIlroy\’s trip to Haiti.

From my interactions with him at the ’09 PGA at Hazeltine to how he has handled himself since the final round of The Masters, I find myself rooting more and more for Rory.
